Nosotros were told it was controllable by a smart telephone, NOT true.... You tin can gather useless information, like " how's my generator'south condition". We need to exist able to CONTROL the generator, like being able to starting time and stop from our smart phone. Here is the example : nosotros are out of town, power goes out ( we get a notice from our power supplier) power volition be out for 2-iii days... The generator does not need to run 48-72 hours. We demand to be in more control. Please explain how nosotros can achieve this. Sincerely Scott

This past summer the batteries died and the thing has not worked since. Significant there was a Bosch-type connector in the Control Panel harness ready to accept the new wifi module. Assured I had good wifi signal at my unit before I ordered the kit. Isolated Egen from all ability, asunder battery. Drill the 1-i/8" hole in the reference dimple designated past Generac (marked by label). Routed wifi harness wires neatly and safely equally needed within the enclosure. Connected (mated) harness plugs. Mounted wifi module to engine enclosure equally needed using parts provided in kit. Connect wifi harness to battery. Reconnected battery. Use the new Mobile Link app downloaded to smart telephone. (Yous no longer need the old Mobile Link Install app. Generac should be more than informative about not needing that old app now.). The new app handles all from install to set-up for your unit. All-in-all the app works well. Connected (joined) to ML betoken, follow directions. Then wait for and connect to domicile wifi system same as you lot would whatever other device you connect to your organization. Use your stronger 2.4GHz channel. Once setup is complete (your app will report that) tweak settings as you like — name your unit of measurement, update service info, ID your preferred egen service provider (optional), etc. Return Egen to Car status. The app will provide all your engine info: run time hours, condition, unit of measurement tech info, access to manuals….all that stuff. Exist brash you CANNOT beginning/stop your Egen via the app. Only view status. Nor can your change the practice schedule. Perchance if you buy the "upgraded" version you can do some of this. Not sure. I merely take/desire the bones service level. All well, wifi functions as designed. I do annotation the bombardment status is a fleck inaccurate. I recently experienced a situation where just one of my two transfer switches operated. I noticed correct away because I was home but If I was away mobile link would say the generator was operating giving the false impression that the whole system was working. Some kind of monitor need's to report on the transfer switches

Rated 5 out of five by scr9268 from Question about the mobile link app I use the complimentary version of the mobile link app. When logging in yesterday, I noted a popup that said … "This allows the app and the website to share information about you…" With whom? Just one another or with outside parties? We commissioned our 22kw Generac in Dec 2021. I have logged in to my account using the app a number of times since December only never encountered this popular up. Any insights?

Rated 3 out of five by tired from fasteners (24kw unit of measurement) Everybody including the dealer's installers know the fasteners securing the right end panel are a pain. The installer replaced simply 2 of the 3 fasteners and at present only one works. (I could not enter this online because it said page not institute.)

Rated five out of 5 past Rick from Just had the generator installed. I'm very pleased with the installation and was expecting the generator to come in a crate and unboxed on site. It wasn't in a crate and institute that they had an upshot with a seal leaking on a few units then they are at present doing the pause in procedure at their location before bringing the generators out. Information technology had ii hours on the hr meter and they already inverse the oil so the beginning maintenance was already washed and no leaks were detected. I'thou very pleased with the work they done and were very thorugh with everything. Apparently the units no longer come up with the wifi module to hook the unit up to wifi. Y'all can get the module if yous desire it hooked up to wifi and apparently it's free only non sure. That'south the simply thing I was wondering about is if I tin can get the module free or if there is a charge. Not a big deal since I really don't need to know what it'south doing unless I lose power. My reason for getting the generator is considering I was tired of dragging my smaller generator out and back feeding the power through a couple plugs and not able to ability the whole firm. I haven't had it long enough to practise information technology's outset excercise but I have organized religion it will piece of work just fine. I'd like to thank the service men for a job well done as they were training a new guy and he was doing alright with the exception of a couple hang ups...Lol We all gotta acquire ane way or another huh.
